I can thoroughly recommend the deep tissue massages that Dave offers. He successfully sorted out problems with tightness and aching in my back by pinpointing the cause of tight hamstrings and weak glutes! Can't speak highly enough of the service he offers, well worth every penny!
Sports Massage Edinburgh
Release tension, improve mobility, and leave ready to move again — minutes from Fairmilehead Park.
It's not always about pushing harder. If you're training regularly, your body needs time and attention to recover, loosen up and stay moving well — that's where a good sports or deep tissue massage comes in.
You can train as hard as you like, but looking after your body and allowing it to recover is just as important. Health, fitness and recovery are three parts of the same equation.

Non-mobile service — you come to us.
I've been receiving a sports massage every couple of weeks from Dave. It's not only helped with my recovery getting back to my sports but also helped my lower whilst sitting at a computer all day.
Massage Questions
What happens at a first appointment?
A short chat about what's bothering you and what you want from the session, then treatment tailored to it — deep tissue where it's needed, lighter work where it's not.
Deep tissue or relaxation — which should I book?
You don't have to choose in advance. Tell your therapist what you need on the day; the same session can be recovery-focused deep tissue or a relaxing reset.
Male or female therapist?
Both, and the choice is yours when you book. Dave has been a qualified sports massage therapist since 2018; Karen is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a diploma in deep tissue sports massage. Pick whoever you feel most comfortable with.
How long should I book?
60 minutes (£60) suits a specific area or general maintenance. 90 minutes (£85) or 120 minutes (£110) gives time to work several areas properly, or to combine deep tissue with slower relaxation work.
How often should I get a sports massage?
Training hard, every 2-4 weeks works well for recovery. For a specific niggle, a short run of closer-spaced sessions usually settles it.
Do you come to me?
No — treatments run at EBC Gym, Dave's home studio or Karen's home studio. It's a non-mobile service, so you come to us.
What if I need to cancel?
Give at least 24 hours' notice and there's no charge. Inside 24 hours, or a no-show, is charged in full — see the cancellation policy.
